Journey to Stirling
We leave Glasgow and travel north through the gentle countryside to Stirling, following in the footsteps of the ancient invading armies. This land was the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire and was under attack during the Wars of Scottish Independence.

Free time in Stirling
As we approach Stirling, you spot the magnificent castle. Perched on the high volcanic rock, this stronghold is known as the ‘Key to Scotland', and it's witnessed battles that were turning points in Scottish history. You can learn about its past and discover the secrets of the royal court when you visit. Alternatively, you can admire the views of the castles from outside and explore the charming, cobbled old town.

Afternoon
Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Aberfoyle, and Balloch
Next, we travel into the Highlands to an area known as Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. This land is full of shimmering lochs, rugged mountain tops, and forest-filled glens. And it used to be a perfect place for outlaws like Rob Roy to hide. Hear the tale of this fascinating folk hero and enjoy the magnificent nature all around you before you stop for lunch in picturesque Aberfoyle. Afterward, we continue to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, framed by majestic mountains and dotted with over 30 islands. Join an optional hour-long cruise here to admire the loch from a different angle and to hear stories of local wildlife or enjoy discovering the area on foot.

Early Evening
Returning to Glasgow
Back on dry land, cast a last glance at the loch and the national park before you start your return journey to Glasgow.

You return to Glasgow at approximately 6pm.
