Overview
Enjoy a full‑day excursion from Paris to the enchanting Belgian city of Bruges, often called the “Venice of the North” and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Surrounded by peaceful canals, Bruges has preserved its medieval charm and is home to remarkable architectural and historical treasures.
Depart from our central Paris agency at 7:15 a.m. and relax during the journey north, arriving in Bruges at around 11 a.m. Your visit begins with a 1 hour 30 minute guided walking tour through the medieval center, where you’ll admire the city’s distinctive Gothic brick architecture. Highlights include the stunning Grand Place Square, the Market Hall and its bell tower, the 13th‑century Notre Dame Cathedral, the serene Benedictine convent of Le Béguinage, and the impressive Town Hall.
From April to October, continue your discovery with a short canal cruise, offering a unique perspective of Bruges’s elegant Flemish mansions and its tranquil, almost mystical atmosphere.
You’ll then have free time to enjoy Bruges at your own pace. Savor local specialties—mussels and fries, Flemish sweet‑and‑sour beef stew, waffles—visit museums, explore Flemish art and craftsmanship, or indulge in world‑famous Belgian chocolates.
