Overview

According to the day and time of arrival, the Naples walking tour will take place in the morning or in the afternoon. An expert local guide will wait for you in front of Teatro San Carlo, near the Royal Palace and Piazza del Plebiscito. Be ready to explore the highlights of Naples and learn more about its history!

You will see the very heart of the city and your professional guide will keep a marked focus on the places that symbolize the bond between Maradona and Naples.

We will start from Piazza Plebiscito, and continue through Galleria Umberto I, reaching the famous Spanish Quarters. Every corner, every street and every glimpse of this city will testify the deep love of the Neapolitan people for Maradona.

He was unanimously considered a hero, the one who gave Naples the joy of the first championship trophy. The entire city of Naples testifies to the passage of the "Pibe de Oro". Diegomania it is all around! From graffiti to cakes with his face, from fireworks nicknamed “Maradona's balloon” to all kinds of gadgets and souvenirs, from poems in his honor to Neapolitan nativity scene statuettes...

Maradona is without a doubt a true universal icon, but Naples was his second home and Neapolitans will always be grateful to him. By attending this tour, you will visit two of the must-see destinations for any aficionado of “The number 10”: Vico Lungo Gelso and Piazza Maradona near via Emanuele De Deo. Here, you will admire the famous graffiti and wall paintings dedicated to the Pibe de Oro, as well as a ceramic mosaic by two Italian-French artists, and a stencil by the Argentinian street artist San Spiga, created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first championship won by Maradona’s Napoli team. You will also see another huge stencil representing Maradona as he dribbles.

Continuing on via Emanuele de Deo (Piazzetta Diego Armando Maradona), more wall paintings are to be seen that have become a real pilgrimage destination for supporters and fans. These are dedicated to the soccer player in memory of Napoli's second scudetto, in 1990.

Before or after the tour, there will be free time for you explore other areas of Naples on your own.

At the scheduled time, be ready to reach the train station to return to Rome.
